My Journey

My name is Jen and I am a year out from WLS. I am a mom of 2, a wife, a business owner and a woman. I have started this page because I have had a tug at my heart for the past year to share my journey and create a space for those also going through this new lifestyle and journey. I want to create somewhere that is safe, and interactive, sharing the good and bad days.
What else will you find here:
📍Food sharing - what I eat, and find works well along with some of my fav finds.
📍Clothes / Outfits
📍Movement/Running Post-Op
📍Before & Currents
📍My WHY
I can’t wait to share with you and am so excited to have you here. I truly feel pulled in my gut & heart to share the journey. As scary as it is. I know it is okay to be vulnerable and open.

These are a few of my favs!!
I love
@biosteelsports Whey chocolate and Vanilla Protein powder! I use the vanilla in the morning mixed with Greek yogurt to really get that extra protein in with some granola and fruit!
Then my love for chocolate never disappeared so I have come up with a protein-packed chocolate mousse using Chocolate powder! It is an amazing product!
@rxbar These are amazing bars while you're doing errands - I love how simple the ingredients are and so tasty!!
The Atkins coconut bars are another treat! I usually break off a piece with my chocolate mousse and it tastes just like a bounty bar!! If you love coconut you’ll love these.
@questnutrition chips!! OH MY! I love the ranch and cheddar flavour. They are a great protein-packed snack on their own but I also love to dip them into hummus and make nachos with them. They are an amazing product!!!
These are just a few of my favs and the way I find them works well to incorporate them into my daily food schedule.

Canadian Costco Finds!

Canadian Costco finds perfect for a protein-focused lifestyle!! I seriously cannot live without any of these items.
I try to have a stockpile in my house so that I am always feeling prepared and ready to go - to avoid making poor decisions!

I found a few of them on Amazon too for quick delivery!!

Have you tried any of these?

Protein balls!!!

These have become a serious staple in my daily routine.

I have to admit I have an evening snack every night that includes these, not only is it packed full of protein but delicious!!!

I love making these in bulk as they freeze so well and are such an easy snack for the whole family.
How I make them:

📍2.5 cups oats
📍1 cup vanilla or chocolate protein powder - my fave is
@biosteelsports
📍3 cups of all-natural peanut butter
📍1/2 c dark chocolate chips
📍3/4 C of either honey or pure maple syrup. Or a mix of both
📍sea salt to taste.

Mix it all up together. If it is dry - add a splash of water to get it all mixed together. Scoop it out using a small ice cream scoop and put it in the fridge for about an hour! You can freeze them too!!

THEN…..

I make a chocolate Greek yogurt mousse and crumble them up in it for my night snack and to help my protein goal!

Greek yogurt | chocolate or vanilla protein powder | 1/2 tbsp of pbfit powder and mix!!!

It’s delicious and is an smart choice.
